We are a creative studio based in Amsterdam and working internationally on arts and cultural projects.
We mostly work in the cultural and not for profit sector. We are passionate about culture in all its forms and about sharing and connecting diverse stories. We strive to find new ways to engage with audiences through online and offline avenues.

Zeytin is a creative studio founded and managed by Canan Marasligil and Erinç Salor.
Canan Marasligil is a freelance writer, literary translator, editor and curator. She works internationally in English, French, Turkish, Dutch and Spanish.
Canan is specialised in contemporary Turkish literature as well as in comics. Her interest is in challenging official narratives and advocating freedom of expression through a wide range of creative projects and activities, either her own or within organisations sharing this urge.
She focuses on using various media to help cultural institutions and groups to tell their story.

Erinç Salor is a lecturer at the Amsterdam University College (AUC) and a research affiliate at the Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA).
Erinç holds MA degrees from KU Leuven on European Studies (2006) and University of Amsterdam on Cultural Analysis (2008). Erinç successfully defended his doctoral project, an analysis of Wikipedia distilled through the heritage of western encyclopedic tradition, on October 2012 at the University of Amsterdam.
He is fascinated by all facets of new media platforms as well as the unique narrative potentials of comics, video games and science fiction.

Our individual portfolios include writing, editing, photography, literary translation, academic research and journalism. Through Zeytin, we combine our areas of expertise with our common fields of interest and bring these together to build projects and work with our clients.
Canan is currently working closely with MitOst (Berlin) on developing the editorial and content components of their Tandem Cultural Managers Exchange Programme's new upcoming website.
She is also working with the Read My World International Literature Festival as a programmer.
Canan has created the ongoing City in Translation project, which she started during her residency at the University of Copenhagen in Spring 2015. In addition to numerous writing and translation projects, she regularly delivers lectures and workshops on translation, literature and comics. She also co-hosts a podcast with migrationlab founder Laura M. Pana: Not Loud Enough.
Erinç currently teaches at AUC (Amsterdam University College) on the Communication track. He has designed and delivered courses on new media and video games. He also has broad experience in delivering presentations and lectures to both academic and general audiences. His photography has been featured on several magazines and websites.
We work with Squarespace to create websites. We primarily focus on projects that require a strong editorial direction and content curation. Where additional technical skills are required, we call upon experienced colleagues from our network.
